Kerry's Supporters Paint a Dark Picture

While John Kerry talks about the 'real America' and the people who are the 'heart and soul' of America, his supporters are painting a much different picture. With the likes of MickeyMoore and other representatives of Hollywood's finest on center stage exhibiting their political views it becomes increasingly likely that Kerry appears to have no clue about what the real America looks like.
In other words, with friends like these Kerry doesn't need enemies. Inoperable Terran points out this from Den Beste who puts it this way in an article you should read in its entirety:

It is rare for a political faction to be blessed with an opponent who is so charismatic to his fanatical supporters, so repulsive to non-supporters, and so vulnerable to criticism and caricature. I can't think of a high-profile leftist I'd rather have "at the centre of things" than Michael Muqtada al-Moore.

If one was particularly cynical, one might entertain the suspicion that Moore secretly hates the left, and is laughing twice as hard. Not only is he getting filthy rich off them, and laughing all the way to his bank, he's also helping to engineer their marginalization, and laughing all the way to their political destruction.

Yes, these 'friends' of Kerry just might be doing more harm than good and the fine liberal senator from Taxachusetts should consider distancing himself from this fringe. If he can, that is. Throw in Wild AlGore and other spittle spewing loons and the Democratic candidate is guilty by association if nothing else. Then, Kerry picks a running mate from the ranks of ambulance chasers at a time when Tort reform is on the lips of many people, doctors are relocating or closing their practices, medical costs are skyrocketing, and insurance rates continue to climb as of direct result of Edwards and his cohorts lawsuits. Yep, Kerry has big problems with his ticket's image. Even the senator's own voting record won't sit well with the real heartland of America. Add to this the Ketchup Heir's own personal image that portrays the senator as an elite, hypocritical, opportunist who preaches the 'do as I say, not as I do' sermon and the problem compounds. Yessir, the heart land of America knows what it likes and it is surely not John Kerry, John Edwards, or their supporters drawn from the ranks of Hollywood mimics.
There also another possibility. The Senator may be so far removed from mainstream America that he actually thinks these fools from the fringe truly are representative of the nation's majority views. If so, he is in even bigger trouble and will have to fool a big chunk of the people all the time in order to convince them that he is a good choice in November. That will be a difficult order to fulfill with the current crop of Kerry supporters parading themselves around for all to see. Yep, these friends are not doing the Lurch/Opie ticket any favors. Are they truly that dumb? Are they really so far gone as to be blind to reality? It surely appears that way. I'm with Den Beste on this one when he wonders if these people are helping to engineer the Democrat's marginalization, and laughing all the way to their political destruction. It's that or they truly are as they appear, loons.
Either way, this type of image will not sit well with the swing voters who most likely will decide this election. And....this type of image serves to illustrate that Kerry does not even have a clue as to what the real America looks like. Yep, Kerry has a real problem here and America will have many to thank if that problem helps to defeat this ticket. On the other hand, many will be highly pissed if these friends cause their candidate to lose. People from all walks of life, suicide bombers, terror 'masterminds', rogue regimes, nuclear wannabes, and general malcontents may end up with a grudge against the loony leftists and Hollywood apes that destroyed their hopes of a more accommodating American administration in the Whitehouse. Hell, they may even get so mad that they issue a fatwa against those who aided and abetted the great Satan. That thought creates some interesting speculation, now don't it?
