Slippery slopes do that

The California Supreme court struck down the voter approved ban on gay marriage. Our Muslim friends usually don't come across as gay loving guys, but they will love this decision.

They can claim that laws against bigamy, let alone polygamy, restrict the practice of their religion. And they will likely find that California style courts are sympathetic. Does this sound far-fetched? Bear in mind that in Merry Old England, the welfare state recognizes polygamous marriages.

It gets worse:

One of Mohammed's wives, Aisha was seven when she was betrothed to Mohammed and nine when the marriage was consummated, Mohammed was in his fifties with several wives.

Our Muslim friends believe that Mohammed was the perfect human being and a man to be emulated in all respects. Presumably, that includes pedophilia. Once our Muslim friends get the right to marry multiple wives they will be asking for what the prophet got: seven year old virgins.
