The only New York Times I'll buy is the last edition

Can 2009 be the year?

I hope so. The prognosis isn't good, for the NYT, that is.

Will Rupert buy it? Why should he? He has the WSJ. Will the Washington Post come to the rescue? No dough, no go.

May they go under sooner rather than later. Or will Obama bail them out? If he does, they should, in all good conscience, rename themselves "Pravda". Duranty would be proud.
